    Topic: Universal Meditation Techniques for Deep Focus & Relaxation

    What is meditation? This question has myriads of answers. In my opinion, it is a bridge of introspection. Meditation is about making oneself “whole”… We exist in this world in a material dimension comprising the body and mind, which is driven by an unseen intelligence, a life force, that exists at a level that lies well beyond the bounds of our material level mental comprehension. This is the level of the Higher Self.

    Meditation can help build the bridge of introspection that connects all the three key levels of our being – the body, mind and Higher Self.

    What is focus? It is a process of shutting down all dimensions of thought in the material mind, except for one, singular channel, which forms the basis for the journey through the bridge of introspection.

    Focus can be built at four levels:

    Level 1: STILLNESS. Our world and material life are governed by time, which is driven by constant change. This makes our minds race at an ever-increasing speed, hampering our ability to relax or concentrate. Our Higher Self, on the other hand is timeless and completely still. It observes our chaotic material life from a position of total Stillness. Therefore, by making the mind go still, we align ourselves with our Higher Self. It is a very empowering experience that creates inner peace and happiness - something we all need, especially in these times of global crisis.

    Level 2: CLARITY. After achieving Stillness, we rise to the level of Clarity, where we silence our mind completely and then detach ourselves from our material world, the past, and the future, leaving us completely immersed in the Present – in a state of complete stillness. This is a liberating experience – one of pure freedom and clarity of thought.

    Level 3: ONENESS. After having achieved Stillness and Clarity, we can rise to the level of Oneness, where our spiritual being (Higher Self) unites with our material self (mind). This is an experience of pure Oneness – between the material, spiritual. Oneness also embodies all creation, both seen and unseen. We become One with everything and at this stage, the only thing that separates us is our physical forms. Our essence is now One.

    Level 4: LINKAGE. This is the ultimate level of the meditative journey, where we focus on a word that we deeply believe, represents the Source of our creation. If one practices Linkage from a religious perspective, one may elect to choose words such as God, Om, Allah, Christ, Father, Ram, Krishna… etc. – depending on one’s religious beliefs. Alternatively, Linkage can also be practiced from a non-religious perspective. In this case, words such as Universe, Origin, Nature, Life, etc. are potential options. The word, and the belief that one places in it, becomes the key to establishing a Linkage between the conscious material mind and the Higher Self. It is a very powerful level of search; whose outcome is of a very personal nature and beyond description in human vocabulary. Linkage can only be approached with absolute humility.

    The Masterclass concludes with a guided meditation that enables participants to work with and experience each of the four levels, (Stillness, Clarity, Oneness & Linkage, which they can then practice on their own at any time.

    SERIES Universal Techniques to enable relaxation and creation of deep focus in meditation 

    Session #:  02 - DETACHMENT & FEAR 

    Most of us find it difficult to sleep, relax and focus. This mini-series will provide a renewed understanding of the core practical methods of meditation shared in Masterclasses 1-5.   It may be particularly useful for those who missed these classes and those wishing to perfect their meditation techniques.   

     We discussed the following topics and applied affirmations as follows:

    1. ANCHOR THOUGHT: typical examples
    I am stillness
    I am happy
    I am peace
    I am abundance
    I am love
    I am forgiveness
    I am clarity
    I am gratitude
    any other states of being you may wish to adopt

    2. MEDITATION OF FLOW: typical example

    Peace…Peace..Peace…

    I am peace…
    Peace flows to me…
    Peace flows through me…
    Peace flows from me…
    I am peace, ...complete peace…peace..peace..(continue repeating peace)

    You may use these words for any anchor thought you wish to flow with.

    3. FORGIVENESS AFFIRMATION:

    When we wish to forgive someone:

    I FORGIVE YOU…I RELEASE YOU…GO IN PEACE…PEACE BE UPON YOU.

    When we seek forgiveness from someone:

    I BEG YOUR FORGIVENESS..I PRAY YOU MAY FORGIVE ME …AND LET US PART IN PEACE… …PEACE BE UPON YOU.

    4. LETTING GO OF FEAR – AFFIRMATION:

    In these Affirmations, you may choose whatever name you wish to ascribe to your Creator – from a religious or non-religious perspective. We have used God as an example below:

    I AM NOT ALONE…GOD IS WITH ME…

    I FEAR NOTHING… FOR GOD IS WITH ME…

    I AM SAFE…I AM LOVED…I AM PROTECTED…

    I AM NOT ALONE…GOD IS WITH ME…

    Keep repeating these words to help replace fear with Light…

    Session #:  03 - ONENESS

    Most of us find it difficult to sleep, relax and focus. This mini-series will provide a renewed understanding of the core practical methods of meditation shared in Masterclasses 1-5.   It may be particularly useful for those who missed these classes and those wishing to perfect their meditation techniques.   

    After Achieving Stillness, Clarity, and Detachment, we are able to achieve a mental state that places us purely in the Present.  At this stage we are now ready to engage our thoughts at teh higher level of Oneness which reflects an understanding of pure untiy, our fellow creations, nature and universes and our creator.  This is the level of Oneness which enables us to live with a conscious awareness of our Creator in the Material and Spiritual Worlds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Oneness is a level that shifts our state of being from Intelligent Living to Enlightened Living.

    SESSION #:  04 - LINKAGE - Technique for Higher Spiritual Search

    Most of us find it difficult to sleep, relax and focus. This mini-series will provide a renewed understanding of the core practical methods of meditation shared in Masterclasses 1-5.   It may be particularly useful for those who missed these classes and those wishing to perfect their meditation techniques.   

    LINKAGE:  After achieving a conscious awareness of the Oneness on a constant basis, we are now able to take the next step, which is to engage with the umbilical chord that links our soul to its Creator.  The purpose, at this level of Linkage,  is to shorten this chord through meditation until our soul is able to realise it's ultimate goal, which is complete union with the Creator.  Linkage draws upon the power of thought that frames the Linkage word representing the name of our Creator, with a deep understanding of the meaning of the word that we ascribe to this name.   This understanding enables us to focus entirely in the present, at a level that engages our mind, with the Light of our Creator. Oneness and Linkage are the most powerful levels of meditation that helps us to rise highter and higher through regular practise, committment and faith.  In this class Dr. Dahya explains the power of the Linkage word, how to derive and internalise its meaning, and how to practise Linkage in a manner that sustains pure focus in our medtiation.
